The Indigo Squirrel will teach this engaging 4 week workshop where you will learn how to dye fabric, silk ribbons and threads using botanicals. You will be introduced to botanicals like cochineal, marigolds, indigo and other natural materials. As you dye squares of fabric and threads, you’ll build observational color skills complemented by note-taking to eventually build your own ingredient color library. We will then learn how to hand stitch your dyed ribbon and threads to create beautiful embellished pieces suitable for apparel or accessories for home furnishings.
